AndyDavissmallComing up in October, The Spurgeon Fellowship is looking forward to welcoming Andy Davis as the keynote speaker.

"One of the central questions all of us face in life is what is the purpose of life, why am I alive? Every day and for the rest of our lives, every single human being has to answer that question. Without a reasonable answer to that question, we can end up feeling like it says in Ecclesiastes, life is “vanity of vanities,” empty, meaningless, without purpose, a chasing after wind (1:2). But for us as followers of Jesus Christ, we have heard from Him and from Scripture, a beautiful answer to the question of meaning and purpose. We exist for the glory of God. We exist to know Him and to delight in Him. We exist to find out what He's done in the past, what He's doing in the world in the present, what He will do in the future and to be a part of that." (Andy Davis)

For almost 22 years, Andy has been the senior pastor of the First Baptist Church of Durham, North Carolina, and the founder of Two Journeys Ministry. He holds a bachelor’s degree from MIT, a Masters in Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Andy is also a visiting professor of church history at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Council member of The Gospel Coalition, and an executive trustee of the International Mission Board.  In addition to his preaching and teaching, he is the author of An Infinite Journey: Growing Toward Christlikeness, Revitalize: Biblical Keys to Helping Your Church Come Alive Again, Christ-Centered Exposition: Exalting Jesus in Isaiah, and An Approach to Extended Memorization of Scripture. Andy and his wife, Christi, have five children.

The conference will be held on Thursday, October 5th, at Indian Trail Church from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. TSF is a conference for pastors, elders, and men training for ministry. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.
